Finish Apple

So, this is it. I did do this to the best of my ability and i feel like i did work hard on this. Could it be better. Yes. Could everything be better? Of course. There will always be things to work on and improve, perfection is not reachable because everything can be better.  I can see the things that needs to change. More blending and texture. And today i worked on smoothing the edges (which of course can be better, but i think i did a good job on it). I tried to add more yellow to it inm the corner, but ran out of time to blend it. But before, it was even worse. And i wish i could of made the lines more stand out instead of blending those to much. I just couldn't find the right combo of brushes. This class was hard for, even harder than calc :-) but i tried and did my best, and as long as people know that, i am good with life. I also took my vocab test today, which after studying, was easy. So that was nice :-)

Texture Sample Day 2

Once again we worked on our texture sample. And i think it looks okay (getting there, i don't think it will ever be perfect). I mostly used the heavy wax crayon (thing) brush and used that a lot. I made a lot of these little changes and didn't see them when they were little, but together they made a difference and i thought that was pretty cool. I got frustrated some in the beginning, but i chilled out, took a deep breath, got some advice, and felt better. Yay!

Apple Sample

Today we still worked on the apple painting, but in another way. We passed around a jump drive and had to download the file off of it. We then had to try to replicate the sample in the upper corner. And it was hard, like always. This practice was suppose to help us feel more comfortable with the texture brushes and to see how they work in this setting of an apple. I do feel like I am getting a hang of this apple but it is taking me a while.

Apple Texture

Today I solely (sp?) focused on texture. and. It. Is. HARD! You have to add layers upon layers upon layers and it gets a little annoying/. And you have to try different textures and different brush sizes. It is a lot to keep track of! I eventually had to create a new layer that stays hidden most of the times called "texture ideas" just to see what some of the brushes looks like.

More Apple

Today i worked on more blending with the apple. I think i got most of the primary and the secondary colors down so next class i will work work on some texture stuff that my teacher showed us today. i think it is coming along nicely, I just need to finish this before my school year ends (which i can)

Apple Day 2

We worked on this painted apple again and I just blurred it some more. This is really hard for me as not being so "technical savvy" but it is coming along and that is what I care about. The middle part of the apple is too green so I am going to have to change that because it looks... ugh. And I don't want it to look ugh, but yay! instead

Apple Painting

Since I missed class last time, I never got started on our new project- painting a realistic apple in Photoshop. So today i found a picture of an apple (that was approved)and started painting it. this is hard for me because i do love traditional painting sop it is hard to do it on a computer with a mouse and pixels instead of a canvas with a paintbrush and paint. But i am making my way threw it slowly but it will be finished! Muhahaha!

Finish Apple (I think)

So here is my finished apple. Apparently i had a back spot over they eye and I tried to get rid of it, but I think I made things worse. To me it looks flat, especially around the eye. But I tried my best and did the best i could and that is all I can do.

Started all over

After some time spent on the cherries, i realized (with some help), that it wasn't going to work out. So i started all over from square one, with new pictures and everything. I got farther with this one but still have some trouble with making it look "real", especially the face. I'm trying some different tecnhiques and going back in steps to see where I messed up or didn't complete the steps.

Bad Fruit part 2

Once again we worked on the bad fruit but i am still having trouble with it. So i switched to just doing one head and i am still having trouble with it! I got really aggravated with myself and became very angry at it. I'm gonna have to ask a lot of questions next class.

Food Gone Wrong

Today we started  new project and it is really challenging for me. We have to morph heads onto fruits and it is very confusing. I thought i would try something like this but i think i am getting in over my head with it because i have to morph 2 heads on instead of one. I Am still going to try it but I might go and change it back to an apple and find an easier picture to morph because this is really hard for me.

Just for fun

Just for fun I did another wallpaper- this one of Sleeping Beauty's Castle at Disneyland. I really like this style of wallpaper and decided to do another one of them.

FINAL WALLPAPERS!

Today in class we only got a half day to work- but it was enough time to finish the 8 wallpapers! I think I did one extra one but it was easy and took me no time at all to finish. This makes me really happy because this is due at the end of the semester so now I don't need to worry about them! This is exciting and I am happy that I got all of them done.

2.5 Wallpapers Done

Today was hard for me. It doesn't seem like I was productive, but these tutorials were hard today. I finished two, and got halfway done with the third (the top picture). I thought I got the hang of these tutorials, but some of the directions weren't clear, or I had to figure somethings out that I had no idea what it was. It was really annoying and caused me a headache. The good thing today was I figured out my problems with my grade. But next class i have to finish the dang rhino and finish up this wallpaper design.

Rhino/Zebra Again

Also today I worked on this rhino thing. I switched some of the legs around, tired to make the head larger, fit the body more, but I am still having trouble with the horns. I don't know where to begin with it and instead of getting mad and screwing up what i already have, I decided to do the wallpaper project. In class next time I am going to ask how to do the horns and fix some things because it just doesn't look right (if a rhino/zebra thing could look normal :-) ) But I am trying my best, but this project is hard and very confusing.

5 Wallpapers

Today I had a really productive day, I really felt like i used my time wisely. Taking a break from my rhino/zebra thing (cause I was getting frustrated) I decided to do the end of the year project. We have to choose 8 wallpapers and recreate them using Photoshop. In my class, I got 5 done in 45 minutes. They were pretty easy to do and a lot of fun to do as well. The directions were easy to follow and after a while i could predict what was coming next based on past tutorials. But it was fun and I feel pretty proud of myself for getting this many done.

Thumbnail Sketches

Here are mt thumbnail sketches. Since I had three ideas I was debating with I did a page for each. I tired to keep my sketches small, and I tried to do them fast because you are supposed to do them in under a minute. After doing the sketches I really liked my mug and my necklace/pendent ideas better than the earrings. The next step is to combine ideas, and do more sketches until you get something "perfect" (I think). Whelp, here they are
